The G2 Gallery Presents Mojave Moonlight Featuring Tom Lowe at Gallery 417 in Downtown Los Angeles

On View July 9–Aug. 11, 2015 | Reception July 9, 6:00–8:00 PM

Los Angeles, CA— On July 9, 2015, Gallery 417 will open Mojave Moonlight, a G2 Gallery traveling exhibit from National Parks Artist-in-Residence and renowned photographer Tom Lowe.

Mojave Moonlight is a collection of Lowe’s photography from his time as an Artist-in-Residence at the Mojave National Preserve in 2013. After working in commercial production for such clients as Budweiser, Toyota and Nike, Lowe turned his focus to nature photography.
“When the opportunity to work as an Artist-in-Residence for Mojave National Preserve presented itself, I jumped at the chance,” says Lowe. “With my affinity for the night and the outdoors, Mojave Moonlight was the obvious creative choice.”
Lowe published the images from Mojave Moonlight into a book of the same name, which was selected to be a part of Boston’s 2014 Photobook International Juried Exhibition at the Griffin Museum of Photography. Lowe’s work has also been featured in F-Stop Magazine and Photography Masterclass, and was part of Earth Month Los Angeles 2015 at the historic Pico House in downtown Los Angeles.

The opening reception for Mojave Moonlight will be held on July 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. set to coincide with the Downtown LA Art Walk. Admission is free. Proceeds from sales of the art will be donated to Greenpeace. RSVP to gregbradham@forestcity.net.
